Should be these numbers. Then the PPS Check tolerance graph should be flatter

Then your PPS (Arrow) should work with 0-100%

By default it is alway characteristic 1
You probably set Characteristic swtih in DBW options

set both check signals input for TPS and PPS to none, and then try to make calibration.

As far as i understand it should be just higher and lower as the actual values. so in your case:

**Sensors and inputs → TPS,PPS → TPS**
Voltage for 0% = Main valid voltage min **0.45V**
Voltage for 100% = Main valid voltage max **4.8V**
**Sensors and inputs → TPS,PPS → PPS**
Voltage for 0% = Main valid voltage min **0.5V**
Voltage for 100% = Main valid voltage max **4.5V**

</div>

The valid voltage min/max is responsible for error detection (eg. sensor failure or short to ground or +5V). Try to leave some margins as the readings from the sensor can change a little with the temperature, sensor wear, etc.

Downgraded back to V2 and did same test all good i really do not know why it is not working for me in V3.

In the version 3.024 there are improved erorr messages during calibration.
They gives more details about the problem.

If it will not work for you then please send me your base map from V2 and the log file as you move the throttle. I will set up you the sensors for V3.

yes, voltage threshold for TPS. Version 3.024 have good explanation for errors.

Dear Jadzwin,
Dont drive with check inpunt active.
dbw error, and EPC light on dash.
Log file too big for upload, sent to email

## **Bosch 0 280 750 009:**

Ok. To get this thread closed I will post the summary, that was found with help of the different people above. Thank you very much. 😀

## Step 1: Get PPS (Pedal Position Sensor) Set up:

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/ecumaster/original/1X/3721746b2dc05881cee22d022af43de8fd77c256.png)

- Get these Windows and press and release Pedal to check the Analog Inputs.
→ If Voltages do not move as expected, you most probably have them connected the wrong way around. (So swap + and - at Pedal or somewhere. This was more Important in V2)

- Put your PPS 1 with respective 0% pressed and 100% pressed in the respective fields. (3x Top Left Arrows)

- Put your PPS 2 Values in the respective 0% and 100% Fields in the 2D Table.

- Interpolate horizotally.

- Press pedal slowly and keep an eye on PPS check error. (Black Box) Should be pretty much 0V. If you have big error here, Something is wrong!

## Step 2: Get DBW to calibrate:

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/ecumaster/original/1X/79945270a0a51cf85066847e2cd10d742c4aede1.png)

- **ONLY** put Main signal input and start the DBW calibration tool. It will fill everything automatically.

After it successfully finished:

## Step 3: Get DBW Check signal set up:

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/ecumaster/original/1X/70f7b73f2bc191bdf0f0ed3d19f1e7e81635645c.png)

- Get a Log with the Analog Inputs and press Pedal from 0-100%.
- Put the respective Numbers of the Check Analog Input in the Table

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/ecumaster/original/1X/b29a1f6770b1f7e6ad1a0ac3b8ac59fc64378c71.png)

- And how does 0,29 become 0,4 you might ask?

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/ecumaster/original/1X/3203e2f1a44400d00ff81420ad2617df8c583cf5.png)

If I get on the throttle quickly i have 0,39V instead of 0,29V. So i went into the middle and put 0,35V into the 2D table which is displayed as 0,4V.

- Now you can put the Check signal input and go on and off throttle slowly. Have an eye on the TPS check error. It should be basically 0V as before with PPS check error.

- I always have the “Disable when no RPM” active. If you do tests without engine running, keep in mind to turn that off since it will offset you a bit and you will look for mistakes forever.

## Step 4: Party hard?

Be happy that you finally fixed something and turn to the next best thing, only to have the next problem to spend countless hours on. 😁

Please correct me if i made mistakes.

First of all good description (and job of course :)) It will be valuable for everyone.

There is a one feature that helps in tuning DBW.
You can go in Ovverides in DBW setup when you can enter the target or DC.
It will always override any other settings from DWB strategy.
So you can easily set the target to 0% or 100% to see the voltage from check pot.
In the future we will add a tuner for TPS and PPS check calibration, however if you understand the idea of the check table it seems to be easy.
Such an approach allow to support any type of check pot characteristic, what can be very very strange in some throttles / pedals.
