I need the CANbus information to display RPM and CLT data on the tachometer of my 2012 BMW F30. My ECU is EMU Black. Thank you very much for your help. ---

Unfortunately, it is not so easy. It requires 4-bit counter and CRC calculation. At this time you can prepare such frames in ADU or PMU only. ---

It is a matter of available CAN features. In ADU and PMU you can configure your own CAN frames including the checksum calculation. There is no user-defined checksum calculation available in other Ecumaster devices at this time. It looks like an overkill to use ADU or PMU just to send one or two frames. I would pass this to EMU Black developer, but I can’t guarantee it would be added. ---

Thank you. I previously managed to get the RPM indicator working on a Subaru BRZ using user-defined settings. I would be grateful for your help with the BMW F30 as well. “If you could remind the developer of Emu Black that I purchased the first Emu Classic ECU, number 00001, and that I can’t remember the exact number of EMUs I’ve installed since then, and that I haven’t installed any other EMUs,” Greetings from Antalya. ---

There is planned support for 8HP for Black that will make your dashbord working. But it will be available at the end of vacation. Using user defined CAN it is not possible to send proper data for F series BMW ---

If the information it needs is available online then I bet you could create it with a diy can bridge of some kind. I’m using a teensy based microcontroller to “translate” some data for the emu black in a standard format. It wasn’t too difficult to setup. There are a few powerful single can bus microcontrollers out there for sub $50. Is the data it needs public info? ---
