# Bmw z4 can bus settings

Hi All

Just wired and tuned a bmw z4 with n46 engine. I connected can bus wires and have cluster working showing rpm, dtc, coolant temp etc. What i notice with ignition on or dtc button pressed i can see the lights on dash flicker quite quickly. Also sometimes tacho has some delays. I tried to change can bus speed from 1mbit to 500, but lights stay on and tacho doesn’t work. Has any one experienced this problem. Also i need to enable AC feature. AC button on dash does not light on so can data is probably missing. Do i need to edit dbc file? I cannot send or recoeve additional can bus streams as i am using z4 can bus protocol
