Is there a way to get more CANBUS inputs? I’m bumping into the limit on my ADU. This is in an E46 Chassis racecar that run a B48 with Motec ECU, PMU, GPS, Battery disconnect, Telemetry, live video, 8HP transmission, Flagtronics or Mylaps Flags.
I had to selectively delete a few items to get under the 150 limit. There are probably more I could delete, but I don’t know what I don’t need.
As far as I know, there is no way to increase the limit. My impression is that the logging feature of the ADU is not a main feature of the device since both the number of inputs and the total logging bandwidth are quite limited.
I’ve been running into the same issue for similar reasons on by racebike with a Mectronik MKE7 ECU, and ended up defining all the inputs, but not importing them all. One of the reasons that I hit the limit is that the ECU has a number of 32bit inputs, which has to be split into 16bit inputs so that pushes the number upwards. I ended up removing most of the diagnostics channels to fit into the ADU limits.
Consider getting a separate datalogger (e.g. AiM or 2D) instead. On my AiM Solo2DL, when logging ~124 CAN inputs it is still at 24% input capacity and has used less than 40% bandwidth capacity.
