# Canbus-bluetooth on ios not showing

Hey. I have emu black in my car. The bluetooth works on an android but doesn’t seem to show on my iPhone 15. Is there something that I am doing wrong or it doesnt support ios devices?

which device are you using to connect? (EDL or CAN to Bluetooth)?

- **Device model** (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro, Pixel 7, Samsung S23, etc.)
- **iOS / Android version**
- **App version / build number**
- **ECU model** (EMU Classic / EMU Black / EMU Black V3 / EMU PRO)
- **Connection type** (EDL-1 / CAN BUS - Bluetooth module / BT Module)
- **Short description of the issue**
- **Steps to reproduce (if possible)**
- Screenshots or screen recordings (if available)
Example:
> Device: iPhone 14 Pro
> iOS: 17.2
> ECU: EMU PRO
> Connection: CAN BUS Bluetooth
> Issue: Lambda value stuck at 0.12
> Steps: Added Lambda gauge → value does not update
The more details you provide, the easier it is for the developers to reproduce and fix the issue.

In the new version, in settings, you have an option bluetooth devices. Set it to “all”. Works for me.

- **Device model** (iPhone 17 ProMax.)
- **iOS version 26.6.2**
- **App version / build number 0.0.53(103)**
- **ECU model** ( EMU BLACK)
- **Connection type** (CAN BUS - Bluetooth module)
- **My ios devices does not connect to the Bluetooth. It does not even show. When connecting with the Android it does show and connects fine(even tho its really laggy)**

Hi! Thank you for the detailed information. Could you please check the following and let us know the results?
1. Which connection type does the app use on Android: BLE or SPP? If possible, please send us a screenshot of the screen displayed after tapping the Bluetooth icon in the top-right corner of the eDash app.
2. Before trying to connect with your iPhone, do you disconnect the CAN Bluetooth module from the Android device? If the module is already connected to one device, it may not appear at all on the other device.
3. On your iPhone, could you please try the following steps?
- Open **Settings → Bluetooth Connection**
- Set **Bluetooth Devices** to **All**
- Return to the **Available Devices** screen
- Tap **Scan Devices**
Regarding the lag on Android, which Android device are you using? We have recently made significant improvements to data transmission, so there is a good chance that the upcoming eDash release will improve the situation.
Please send us the requested information and let us know what happens after completing these steps.

Hey. Thanks for the reply
It uses SPP
I used the app on my buddy’s phone to see if that works. I tried connecting it so many times with the iPhone but it never seems to show.
I tried everything and still doesnt seem to work.
The android phone that was laggy was the Samsung S24 Ultra.

If your CAN-Bus Bluetooth module supports only SPP (like older modules), unfortunately it cannot connect to an iPhone. iPhones use a newer Bluetooth connection called BLE and do not support SPP.
