Concerning the Connection page ā€œAvailable Devicesā€

My app defaults the toggle switch to ā€˜BLE’

It does not auto reconnect after engine shut down and restart unless only a short time has elapsed. If I walk away from the car and return after more than a few minutes and start car I need to manually reconnect.

When reconnecting I can leave it in ā€˜BLE’ mode and touch the ā€˜Connect’ button and it will automatically toggle switch to ā€˜SPP’ and then connect. Would it be possible to choose to change the default connection protocol mode and have it remain until the user wishes to switch it? Would this help it connect automatically?

Can the buttons and text on the ā€˜Available Devices’ page be enlarged? When filtering for E.M devices only there are so few options it seems silly to have such small font on this page.

To make it easier to reconnect I will often prefer to swipe closed the app and reopen it from app widget which forces an automatic connection.

The app is unstable on this device, occasionally crashes or closes.

I would love to see some of the features of EMU Dash 3 return to this version. Most notably widget text colour changes with ā€˜flashing’ at certain thresholds.

Also how about a colour palet (a really comprehensive one) to choose a colour scheme for frames and text to match OE interior dash, buttons, and switch lighting, this would be amazing.

Regards,

Mal

It works now. Will test more in the next days

I’ve tested it and it works; the data is received quickly. I turned the vehicle off and on a couple of times without any particular issues. In the coming days, I’ll test it with the vehicle in motion

Is there any chance history (min/max) values could be added to the software? Even if it’s a 5-10 second history. With faster cars, it’s basically impossible to take your eyes off the road long enough to see what the gauges are saying in real time. Would love to see a min/max parameter to be able to set for each gauge or even a completely separate gauge all together that displays min/max.

Thanks for the feedback!

We’re already working on adding the ability to configure the rotary button’s range by setting both the start value (0 or 1) and the end value (1–15).

Your suggestion about assigning custom labels to individual positions (e.g. showing ā€œ2000 RPMā€ instead of ā€œ2ā€) is also a good idea. We don’t have it planned at the moment, but I’ve added it to our feature ideas list so we can consider it for a future update.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your suggestions!
