I’m looking to implement flat upshifts and rev matched downshifts on an H-pattern manual for closed circuit racing. I have DBW on a naturally aspirated port injected 6 cyl.

1. Under Drivetrain/Gearbox/Torque Reduction, I see tables for Ignition Correction, Cylinders Cut, and DBW target correction. Two of the tables use “Gearbox Torque Reduction %” while the third table uses “Gearbox Torque Reduction Requested Value %.” What’s the difference?
2. Under Drivetrain/Gearbox/Gear Shift/Downshift/Activation, there’s a table for “Max RPM.” Can I set that very high (10k) and trust that it won’t work unless the next gear is below my revlimiter? Or do I need to do the math to ensure each downshift is possible?
3. Under Drivetrain/Gearbox/Gear Shift/Downshift/RPM Matching, why is there so much to set up? Can’t it just operate like another RPM limiter but using the math for next gear ratio & wheel speed? Or, do you have guidance on how to configure ignition correction and cylinder cut?

Thanks!
