How to find errors in the emu8 pro log

Hi everyone,

I have a silly problem with my EMU 8 Pro, installed on a BMW with an S65 engine. On my ADU7, I see the check engine light flash on for an instant; the log shows the light triggering, but I can’t find the reason why. In the EMU Classic and Black software, it’s very simple to figure out where the problem lies, but in the EMU 8 Pro software—in my humble opinion—it’s a real mess. Is there a specific place to see what the error is? I’m attaching the log.

Ok, that’s fine, but one thing is strange. If I go to the S65 DBW diagnostics at the exact moment the error occurs, everything is fine. What does that error refer to specifically?

As you can see both throttle A and throttle B called general error.

Something doesn’t add up, though; in these cases, you see check engine spikes, but no corresponding error flags in the stream (there are some for the central spike, but no errors reported for the four small ones).

It’s caused by different logging frequencies.

Check engine light is logged at 10Hz rate
EMU Black CAN stream Error flags at just 1Hz.

So, if there is a brief occurrence, first channel will log it, but the second one will miss it. I recommend logging both at at least 10Hz.

This brings me… can you speed up atleast a little bit BLACK can stream? Now is only 20hz(even black itself send it 25hz) , so it can be kind limiting for using these data on another devices or loggers.
