In [Emu Classic manual](https://www.ecumaster.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/emu_manual.pdf) example on page 58 is really weird to me. If i want to set offsets from ig1 to inj1 ig2 to inj2 ig3 to inj3 and ig4 to inj4, so fueling events would be consistent i must set them up as i imagine (1 2 3 4), as manual proposes or 1 3 4 2?
@edit: In EMU Black example configuration it is also 1423 for 1342 engine. It is a mistake, is it?

Typically injector phase follows Ignition event order. I think that’s a typo…

4 cylinder firing order is 1-3-4-2, so injector phase is also 1-3-4-2. this assumes the injector and ignition outputs are IGN/INJ 1 = cylinder 1 and so on.

it is hard to explain.

read as
First fire = 1 cyl
Second = 3 cyl
Third = 4 cyl
Fourth = 2 cyl

I contacted tech support also, and received clear answer about manual being right. Probably today i will try to make sure with timing lamp. I will trigger lamp with injectors opening and illuminate marks on cam wheel for TDC of every cylinder. I have to make sequence right anyway, so i can remove the distributor in the future
In every case i don’t understand this sequence :\>

So i confirmed, that manual is actually correct. When 1342 was used 4cyl was 180 crank deg early. I don’t have enough time to sit down and learn how, but only 1423 works correctly on all cylinders

Hello,
you just have to wrap you head around.
1423 actually is 1-3-4-2.

1 Ignition EVENT is on Cylinder 1 (Injector 1)
2 Ignition EVENT is on Cylinder 3 (Injector 3)
3 Ignition EVENT is on Cylinder 4(Injector 4)
4 Ignition EVENT is on Cylinder 2(Injector 2)

To be honest, i also needed some time to understand it. It’s not that intuitive…

I put below some examples:

4-cylinders engine:
1 2 3 4 Cylinder/Injector Number
1 3 4 2 Ignition Order
1 4 2 3 Injector Phase

4-cylinders engine with reversed injector order:
1 2 3 4 Cylinder Number
4 3 2 1 Injector Number
1 3 4 2 Ignition Order
4 1 3 2 Injector Phase

Different ignition order for example Honda CBR600RR:
1 2 3 4 Cylinder/Injector Number
1 2 4 3 Ignition Order
1 2 4 3 Injector Phase

6-cylinders engine:
1 2 3 4 5 6 Cylinder/Injector Number
1 5 3 6 2 4 Ignition Order
1 5 3 6 2 4 Injector Phase

6-cylinders engine with reversed injector order:
1 2 3 4 5 6 Cylinder Number
6 5 4 3 2 1 Injector Number
1 5 3 6 2 4 Ignition Order
6 2 4 1 5 3 Injector Phase

Thanks, that’s pretty cool reference guide. In engine with enclosed timing chain i couldn’t check injection events properly in reference to camshaft :\>

Well I learned something lol. took a minute to wrap my head around that
I suppose this is why most other brands don’t let you alter injector/ignition outputs and you just enter firing order and go.
