Indicator Set Up cancel left indicator by pressing right button

Hi all, I’m new to ECU master and working to configure my PMU 24 and 13 key keypad with rotary encoders. I want to be able to short press to blink 3 time, longer press for on and then next press to turn off. I can do this but I also want to also be able to cancel for example the left indicator by also pressing the right indicator button, eg what you would do at a roundabout and junction after this. This is what your road car does.

Any ideas on this logic?

Solved this problem using a number of set-reset latches for each direction and short/long press.

Current setup supports short press (blink for 2 seconds), long press (blink indefinitely), subsequent press to cancel.

This feels overly complicated - is there an easier way to achieve the same functionality?
