# Injection and ignition during cranking

When in window ignition output options  
Mode  
Wasted spark only during cranking  
is activated, is also wasted injection activated ?  
Or have i to select  
in The Injector phase configuration window  
Squirt twice per cycle ?

Wasted injection makes no sense cause once injected it will be part of next combustion…no matter when u inject it.  
Squirte twice per cycle will just half the injection time and split it to two events…also in running mode.  
So u need to do nothing special for injectionsettings while wasted spark during cranking is active.

Not really, when you have a bad atomization of the fuel for one reason or the other… Squirting twice per cycle will help iron out weird misfire or rough running… Sometimes you will get better start up… I had some old lousy ported V8 that was running like dog shit because of the weird huge vertical narrow width port… I guess thats why they make 200hp out of a 5.2 liter. squirt twice made it run better.
