It would be nice to have 2 or more LC settings so that you can set one as burnout w/o boost control active and an other with boost target.
Something like EmuB has in it It´s strategies.

@SamiN it is possible to do it. Just define a 4D table for each map you want to switch and as a Z axis use a channel with the switch (intended to change maps) state.

With this approach, using even more than 2 possible maps sets is possible.

Thats true, how did I forgot 4D tables… 😆 Thanks!

Hmm I just realized why I was asking this in the first place…

Yes I can make 4D tables, but as LC and burnout are two very different scenarios and I want to use clutch input with LC deactivation and that does not work with BO, or max speed… dont work either…
Also in LC settings I want to use TPS setting higher than I would use in burnout.

So you may want to re-think these strategies?

I can workaround this with engine RPM limiter tables when burnout is active but it would be nice to have better strategy.

</div>

Could you confirm if I understand correctly?

For burnout:

- clutch engaged → strategy does note deactivate
- vehicle speed does not influence strategy deactivation
- activation accelerator (_not throttle position!_) threshold around 30%

For Launch:

- clutch engaged → strategy deactivates
- vehicle speed above ~5 kph deactivates the strategy
- activation accelerator (_not throttle position!_) threshold around 70%

We have plans for a full suite of dedicated drag racing features, and burnout mode would be one of them.

Please describe exactly how you would like it to work and what options you would want.

This is how I did it with Black, PMU (functions) and ADU:

Simplified:

1. Gear N or 1 & push cankb BO button → **strategy** is active → LC tables #2 activates, boost solenoid DC is overrided to value x.
2. start burnout. VSS \> y & **strategy** is active → _virtual burnout mode_ triggers ON → we are now burning some rubber so lets start the Timer! (for ADU and logging purposes only)
3. _virtual burnout mode_ is ON & disengage clutch = **strategy** deactivates → _virtual burnout mode_ is OFF, LC tables #1 activates -\>. Timer stops.

So with PRO and burnout, I think params. could be very similar like LC strategy has now!
It just needs different activation/deactivation params:
Clutch state
Accelerator position
VSS
Recovery delay

Does “full suite” include automatic gear shift strategy for seq. gearboxes (with pneumatic upshifter? 🙂
(I might have asked this before)

Yes, everything that a top drag car needs.

Some of the planned features from the top of my head:

- ignition angle and boost target based on the time from launch,
- burnout mode,
- drag gearbox support (like TH400),
- trans brake,
- bump box,
- traction control based on driveshaft speed,
- anti-wheelie,
- parachute deployment.

If you have more ideas for dedicated drag strategies, let us know here so we have them for the future.

Any news on this? i have a customer with a F150lightning w/coyote twin turbo/th400 spec drag car. We need transbrake/bump and gearchange function for this.

the transbrake and posibly gear change is easy enough to make with the current firmware, bump i dont know…

best regards. Einar

Not yet, but we will increase priority.
We were entirely focused on direct injection lately, but now we are getting back to implementing general features.

Did you work with drag features on different ECUs?
Did you like some implementations more than others?

Has there been any more work done on this? I’m also looking for launch control and a burnout limiter(activated at the same time as a line lock via PMI). I previously ran the AMP-EFI MS3-Pro and had a good experience setting up and using their limiters. Section 7.8.11 Launch / 2 step / 3 step / T-Brake of the MS3-Pro Ultimate manual lays out how they did it.

That manual can be found here (feel free to delete the link if it is not allowed).

I’m preparing to wire my car now and plan to add 2 switches for launch and burnout options. Hopefully the software will be able to utilize the hardware eventually.

Currently trying to make the pro work for drag racing. I have a few suggestions to make it easier to handle:

- Button to deacvtivate transition strategy (for burnouts)

And/Or even better

- Make each transition strategy parameter (ign/rev, cut/rev) a table and add throttle position and fuel as well. This allows to build ramps that make the power output more even and flexible.

These features on their own would solve most scenarios I can think of. Right now it is tough to make a burnout on a transition strategy that also works for the launch.

One thing for everyone that wants to use time based functionality after launch: create a custom timer that starts on launch control fuel falling edge.

We are currently implementing drag features for the diesel version of EMU PRO.
Time-based boost control and launch control are already in place, and we will add everything else that will make drag racing easier and more consistent.

For the gasoline EMU PRO, we are busy preparing the release of the LT1/LT4 adapter.

Once we are done with that, we will add drag features to the gasoline EMU PRO.

Can we at least have Transition Strategy Ign Recovery / Revolution be a table? There are people waiting for more than 2 years for easily doing a burnout
