NB miata (bp4w) cam sync issue after V3 migration

NB scope looks good.

What I would do now:

  1. change primary trigger edge to falling

  2. change CAM 1 edge to falling

  3. Set igntion mode to: seqentional instead wasted spark

Btw: Update to 36-2 trigger is great improvement of this ignition trigger. The more tooth the more precise is the spark (less dependent of angular acceleration of the crankshaft).

Okay, so I tested with falling edge trigger on crank/cam + sequential ignition. Sorry I forgot to enable ā€˜take skipped edges’ this time…

Had to adjust the base timing with the timing light using a different first trigger tooth / angle setting.

Car didn’t want to start up, it was trying to fire but sounded like it was working against itself.

Any other ideas based on this info?

I see the problem now.

The rpm are uneven and the cam decoder doesnt work properly (N+1).

Try the following settings on the CAM:
