The built-in oscilloscope is a great tool and provides a wealth of data, but the need to manually trigger it limits its usefulness. Would it be possible to have programmable triggers? For example, upon loss of crank sync or loss of cam sync, show the scope data for the last few revs before the trigger event. This would provide a “black box” capability to show injector and ignition details leading up to the triggering event and would be particularly useful in tracking down the cause of intermittent problems.
I’m guessing the oscilloscope requires high bandwidth and storage requirements that prevent sustained, continuous logging, but would it be possible to use a “rotating buffer” to continuously store new data by writing over older data? The buffer would only need to be large enough to store a few crank rotations worth of data.
I understand getting V3 documented and released is the priority. I hope this feature appears at some point.
