Using v3 (latest version) Using a bub engine in 2011 scirocco mk3 so Still pq platform Mk5 r32 Dsg gearbox Can keypad for gear shifter emulation Cannot start the car as it says put the car in P or N on the dash. Dash shows in P as does emu when looking at logging for Dsg Holding brake pedal doesn’t make any difference, brake pedal shows as pressed ok in emu software Anyone have any ideas? I don’t want to have to fit a oem shifter to resolve this ideally ---

When you install V3 3.047 there is a directory Base maps and base map for Audi R32 BUB You can use it as reference. ---

There could be a problem with the coding between your car and your DSG. In VW car it is very tricky to swap components between cars. However with black this message should prevent the engine from start and the gearbox from work. ---

Pretty sure it’s down to the car coding. Does the original ecu need to be connected to do a usb2can scan to get the coding? Is there any other way to find this as the car is already converted and wired with emu ---

You can try to power on the OEM ECU on the bench and just read the CAN. However there could be coding conflict between DSG and the car. ---

I’ll try that. Thanks Shouldn’t be any conflict as the Dsg was a option in the car also, it ran fine on standard ecu for the r32 ---

Yes r32 engine and gearbox worked fine with oem ecu. Only with emu and trying to emulate shifter I’ve had issues ---

So if you have good coding it should work. What are youre DSG settigns in EMU BLACK ? What errors DSG reports via VCDS ? ---

Go to the menu/Tools, select option VW coding and select file scirocco.txt.
