Hi, I have double checked my wiring and i cannot get my Aux outputs to work when i wan to test the outputs. When i select Aux 2 (where my fuel pump is wired in), the OT tab at the bottom turns green but the fan relay does’nt turn on. I have tried reversing the polarity as well. The situation is similar on Aux 3 which i am using for my boost control Solenoid.
Auxiliary outputs are connecting ground.
Do you have battery voltage on the other side of the load when you are trying to turn them on?
That is a basic functionality that is definitely working.
Hey I have a strange issue with my aux too. Need to control a relay. I was wondering why it was always active until I checked the aux directly to ground and received ground also as the aux was off. As I activated the output in the EMU Back I of course had also Ground. I realized was that if I beeped the aux to ground, I had kind of a shutter beep as aux was off. As I activated the Aux the beep was solid. It feels like there is a broken wire somewere that has some shortcut to ground. Do you have any other idea? I am afraid to open all the wires to look for such a problem.
How are you testing the aux output?
The output test will pulse the output to ground as set in the test window.
Inverting the output in whatever window you have it assigned to (fuel pump for example) should hold the output to ground until you click the ‘invert output’ check box again.
The aux outputs do become ground when the ecu is off.
I’m not sure I totally understand your question, some of the wording is confusing.
Thanks for your feedback. I guess making a Video is much easier to explain.
How have wired the relay? is one side of the coil to the ECU and the other to switched 12V?
Do you get the same results with the relay disconnected?
I see the name is “E Oil Pump”, what type of pump and relay is the aux controlling?
It’s a typical relay I finished the wirring coil wired like you described also wired the pump and started. Due to the strange invert shutter the pump is always running now vecause the relay is grounded all the time. I disconnected the Aux from the relay and that’s the result shown in the video. Do you have an idea where the shutter noise at the aux comes from right after inverting? Is that normal.
Nothing special, pump is working fine if I connect 87 to ground. But as mentioned or shown in the video, aux is only off if testing the output, if I invert its has still active ground causing the pump to run.
is your aux out wired to 85?
why is your 87 wired to ground? its supposed to be connected to your pump? or?
What is the conditions of your function? I see it has something to do with AN In2
85 is connected to Aux EMU 87 is connected to pump with 12v and pump is on the other side grounded of course. The AI will be in future the temp trigger to start the pump. Pretty simple construct. I dont get the aux situationen. Why can’t I shut off the aux by inverting? That would solve my issue.
your Parametric output condition seems to be true activating the output. I see it in your software status bar in the bottom.
by inverting you are basically asking the Aux to remain on ground till the condition is true.
try it without conditions:
you can see the status of your output here:
Thanks mate I will check this and let you know the result.
OK i guess it was a simple wire fault. I found a free aux and was able to enable the relais.
So basically there was no ground to the wire as deactivated. When I started the output Test my Multimeter was beeping as awaiting.
So I will search for a broken geound wire. DAMN
