First time with this so forgive any stupid questions.
Installed the Classic with a cam and crank sensor on an 1979 Porsche 911 EFI/ITB build from RHD. Started losing the cam signal then the trigger tooth started moving around til the engine died. Engine eventually started again with no cam signal (showing zero) and drove to the shop.
had a look at the wiring and found a socket where the contacts had been widened too much from a probe - but it was for the crank sensor, not cam sensor. Having fixed that, the car has been running well.
Question: can the cam signal error be due to the crank sensor signal issue, ie the ECU says cam signal error but that’s really due to the crank sensor error ?
