I updated EMU Black to V3.054 and updated the EDL-1 firmware to 1.21. The EDL folder and file dates are nonsensical (year is 2064 and month is 11). The older folders were created with earlier firmware versions.
I’ve tested latest V3 firmware and EDL 1.21 firmware.
All dates and time saves correctly.
Try to setup your EDL real time clock from EMU (Menu Tools / Set datalogger time)
That’s it. Thanks.
I set up the timestamp when originally installing the EDL-1. It did not occur to me that updating the firmware would require resetting it. Maybe a note in the manual that it is necessary? Even better, check and auto update the timestamp whenever a PC client is connected.
Thanks again,
Steve
In general the RTC clock has own battery and works independently.
Upgrade of the firmware shouldn’t change the time and date.
I cannot explain why it happes, but it is added to the bug tracker as a potential issue.
