EK Civic wipers

Hi,

Having some trouble sorting out EK9 Civic wipers(RHD, Type-R).

Wired as I’ve always wired everything including EG, EF, EP, FN Civics with a PMU-16: O08 for low speed, O09 for high speed, A8 for park switch.

I’ve had EG’s and EF’s here previously and with a wiper stop function and using the function as the wiper module’s park input channel it was fine. The same EG setup worked on an EF also. Most cars I’ve done sort themselves out and don’t require a function, they work fine with A8 just assigned as the park input in the wiper module.

This EK however seems to be parking in the centre of its travel and through its stroke they sweep off the screen before they get a chance to sweep up the screen, so of course if doesn’t get that far as when the blades run off the screen the output trips. I’ve heard from a customer that this also applies to DC2’s and DC5’s.

I’ve attached a log where the motor goes from off, to 3x intermittent sweeps, 3x slow sweeps, 3x fast sweeps and then off again.

I did reach out elsewhere but I expect it is a very busy week for my local distributor here with many race seasons getting underway :slight_smile:

Any help appreciated, or if someone has a screenshot of an EK that’d be grand :slight_smile:

For anyone who stumbles across this, not to mine or the customers knowledge, but someone had taken the wiper linkage apart and reassembled incorrectly oriented/rotated.

The EG and EF seem to want a wiper stop setup as a function to park correctly, but the EK and EP seem to do as they should simply with the basic wiper module setup… assuming the linkage or previous owners aren’t working against you :slight_smile:
