Adu with bmw Edc16 obd

Hi there
i have a request to install an ADU in a bmw m57 engine, this engine is controlled by a bosch edc16 ecu with canbus,
does the adu work with the obd protocol of this engine/ecu?

Hi, depends on whether the OBD data is over the CAN bus.

If it’s a car from 2008 or newer, the OBD is guaranteed to use the CAN bus.
Before that, it’s different for each model of the car.
