Camsync advanced filter

Hi,

In V2 there was the option to enable an advanced filter in the seconday trigger menu. (see screenshot).
I need that feature because I have similar issues as in this threat

Is that option going to be avail in the future?

Ramon

Can someone at Ecumaster comment please?

Actually there are no plans. You have two options:

  1. Disable cam sync over given RPM
  2. Use Primary teeth window as an CAM trigger type

What problem do you exactly have ? Maybe I can advice.
Please publish the log with the issue.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I don’t have the logs anymore. But I used to have Sync issues, where the ‘camsync trigger tooth’ would drop from 117 to 40. And as a result of that, an ignition cut.
It did this randomly. Sometimes at Idle, sometimes during WOT, sometimes it didn’t do that for weeks. But when it did, ether my engine died or I got a massive ‘kick’ during acceleration.
That’s when I applied the above mentioned filter. And since, I don’t have issues anymore.

My engine has a VTEC style VVT (Mercedes M111 engine). So I don’t realy need camsync once the engine is running.

I have the same issue for an NA MX5.

The original setup in V2 was as follows:

But how am I supposed to configure this in V3 with only a Cam angle sensor (1.6 NA CAS). Primary trigger is a 4 tooth, but configured as 2 tooth since it’s on the camshaft.
