Hello
I need a computer for the Motor 1NZ 1.5 L for Toyota Vitz(Yaris) 2003
Please advise which computer model to buy
Thanks
Probably the EMU Black is a good choice.
Software is easy to understand, DBW and CAN support etc.
EMU Pro is obviously better, but probably overkill, and the software takes a bit more time to learn.
Thank you very much for your answer - if it’s not too much trouble, could you please give me a link to these models? I don’t know much about them
A comparison could be found here.
My advise would be to print the original ECU pinout and start writing down what you would need from your new ecu:
- Injectors, ignition, inputs, outputs, functions, H-bridge etc.
An older Yaris doesn’t sound very complicated to me, Looks like it is also still a cable throttle. You could probably get away with an EMU Classic, but I’d get the Black for more functions, better software, and CAN-bus if you ever need a digi-dash or some expansion.
thanks for your help - where can I order?
Depends on your country.
You can check your local distributor here: Ecumaster distributors
They say the price is such that it is 3 times more expensive than the car itself
Depending on the state of your car, that could be the case.
But why would you need a fully programmable ecu in the first place?
I want to find a used one cheaper where can I find it? I couldn’t find it on eBay
or in which country are the cheapest prices for a new classic?
Use distibutor in your coutntry for suppeort and warranty reason. You may regret that saving later .
