Cranking fuel table reference?

Hi, what’s the reference for the new cranking fuel table percentage?

Is it based on the normal VE table? That part of the table is hardly ever used (very low RPM, high MAP for NA engine) and by changing the VE table you would always change the reference for cranking fuel.

I can understand the brilliant logic behind that but I am converting from the old system and the values are hard to compute and you are forced to have a solid VE table in a region where my engine does not run very happy under normal conditions.

Thanks, Christian

It is taken from VE. The cell that is used for cranking shouldn’t be reached during normal engine operation.
However we consider to add small VE table just for cranking.

How do you interpolate the VE table for cranking, since the values are outside of the normal VE table?
Do you use nearest neighbor or do you extrapolate the table?

If the value from any table axe is higher / lower than tables max/min values it is just clamped.
