You will be able to control the stepper motor Haldex 1 gen. using functions in Diff control? A Dual H-Bridge could be used as a driver with modified firmware for a stepper motor that could further control the oil. pump and send the temperature and all this via CAN-BUS. I would have a lot of customers for this solution
I think with H-Bridge module it would be possible.
That would be great, I would be very happy to join the testing, I already have a Dual H-Bridge connected to a Haldex stepper motor, I have already successfully tested sending the oil temperature using Can stream to Emu Black
hi, it work? thanks.
Edit: i have thinking, its not possible use the 2 ignition output and the rest of 2 h-bridge to control the haldex and one reley to the pump?
Hi, I don’t have firmware support for Dual-H bridge yet. In version V3 3.045 there should finally be support for Diff.control strategy for Haldex 1 gen. I hope so
Why ECUmaster does not offer a CAN Control for Haldex by Emu Black? A little table, RPM and load axis, for locking the Haldex. Other ECUs and all the stand alone controllers do the same thing
This would be great. Support for mk5 golf would be good
I’ve been asking Ecumaster support for a software modification for two years now and they promised to release something in version 3.045, I’m curious
In general the Haldex unit calculates its behavoiur on the information from the CAN like wheels speeds, tps, rpm, etc.
So to make it work in this way you propose we need to mimic specific data for it.
In VAG platfroms we send all proper data to the body and we cannot do it.
Black has only 1 CAN.
Now the DUAL HBRIDGE is supported by EMU (for DBW control).
However the DUAL H-BRIDGE team need to update the firmware to support stepper motor to allow hadlex gen1 controller.
Yes, my idea is to use only the stepper motor from the Haldex control unit and control it using DBW control via Dual H-Bridge. It would be enough to use the acceleration and braking tables in the Diff control strategy. The Haldex grip values in percentage would be displayed in the ADU
Maxxecu can do IT, with a single CAN Bus. Each stand alone Controller can do IT, too
I’ve just checked the MaxxEcu and it works as I wrote above.
So in VAG car you cannot use it with standard OEM CAN stream.
So the ABS, ESP and other systems will not work.
Wihe stand alone controller you can connect haldex directly to it without sharing the bus.
We misunderstood, I have that control ready for a race car!
I already use a Haldex controller, Haldex controller – Vojtech-shop.cz, but I would like to control it via Ecu Black and display the values in ADU
