Ecumaster classic wiring

Hey new to the standalone world and was just looking for some advice.

I’m trying to run a 3sge from an MR2 on a Ecumaster classic and I’m just going a bit mad.

Does the Ecumaster classic need a trigger to start like the black does?

I can’t seem to find anything in the documentation that says it does, but when I have the power and grounds connected - nothing. As soon as I connect one of the injectors, it’ll power up.

Just thought it’s worth checking in here before I go chasing grounds.

Thanks, in advance!

ecu master black and classic wiring is the same basics below is a example

That’s what is confusing me though. B13 on the classic is WBO IP for the wideband?

Also doesn’t help that the diagram is backwards compared to the actual appliance itself :joy:

And sorry, just to add there is no switched on the classic diagrams.

Did you ever get this figured out? I’m having the same issue. I haven’t tried the injector yet. But I verified power and ground to the ECU and it’s not turning on.

Your injectors’ power supply is powering the ECU from the injector outputs. You need to connect the ignition wire to the ECU. The injector power supply line should power up at the same time as, or after, the ignition switch is turned on.

So I’ve already done that, the ECU is using the original ECU ignition power for the stock ECU. Even just trying to bench power it, I get the same thing.

I wasn’t sure if I had a ground loop but I’ve wired it as per recommended, so was going to try some diodes next.

You probably didn’t connect the engine ground, people often forget this when they bench test.

Can confirm, all 4 grounds are connected. And I’ve tried grounding it to the engine and directly to the chassis.
