EMU Black on Suzuki B-King

I’m currently planning out the wiring and configuration for a Suzuki B-King turbo. Basically the same as a GSXR1300 / Hayabusa.

This engine has 8 injectors (2 per cylinder) so I want to use the secondary injector function. Only problem is that they only support 2 banks, and not a secondary injector per cylinder. Can I only use it by pairing two injectors together as one bank, or can I configure it a different way in software?

Thanks!

2 injectors per output as secondary

I am running a GSXR600 with EMU Black V3 and as already mentioned you need to run the secondary injectors in batch injection mode. This means that fuel is injected at the same time for all secondary injectors twice per engine cycle. The EMU black does not support sequential injection for the secondary stage. In my opinion batch injection works fine for the secondary stage since the secondary stage anyway only is active at high RPM and high throttle openings.

I had some issues with the secondary injection which were resolved in this thread

This is my configuration

Thanks, this is very helpful.

One thing that I thought of right now is which two injectors to link together, wouldn’t it be a bit better even when combining the injectors of cylinders that are 360 degrees apart, so 1 and 4, 2 and 3?

Or does this not matter in the slightest?

No problems!

Now that is an interesting idea, I have not thought about if the two injection banks are in phase or if they inject out of phase.

I had to test to see and actually the two banks are injecting in phase / simultaneously, so it will not matter which bank and injector output the secondary injectors are connected to.

The yellow line is the INJ 5 output, the blue line is the INJ 6 output.

Ah thanks for testing!, that’s interesting to see actually.

@Jadzwin_ECUMASTER is this something that can be implemented? Like an angle offset between banks. Or would this not matter for fuel atomization?

@Jadzwin_ECUMASTER Or even better if full sequential injection can be implemented also for the secondary staged injection.

If the INJ7/AUX1 and INJ8/AUX2 outputs are used there are enough injector outputs for full sequential secondary injection for four cylinder engines.

This was indeed what I was previously hoping to work out, Then with the 2 banks I hoped for grouped instead of batched injection.

You should connect primary injectors (near the cylinder head) to sperate injector outptus, and the further injectors need to be banked.

There is no other solution.
