Bump,
so car has been on the dyno today, ve table and timig spot on..
ve was done without stf
when enabling fuel film strategy it just goes over rich everywhere, on fuel text log only cyl 1&4 have film corection, 2&3 have volume corection.
tried to adjust a bit but its just feels wrong
log is with and without fuel film active
V2.emupro (32.2 KB)
log to big, 54.87 MB file on MEGA
I actually managed to reproduce something similar in June.
I tried to run a 4piston engine based on my personal 6cyl project file
Everything worked perfectly but the fuel film.
As I remember only one cylinder received film correction and everything just didn’t work right the second I tried to enable the Film.
So I started a fresh project and manually transferred everything I actually needed and now the car runs good and wins its races
Might have been some hidden (once I selected different cyl number) assignment of colil/spark/lambda or whatever.
can someone please take a look and confirm if this a software issue?
indeed this is a used unit previously used on an 8 cyl setup, I updated the device to latest beta and adjusted the parameters to suit current engine setup, without restarting the project!
Hi,
Sorry for the late response.
We are a bit busy with all the events now.
Next week, I will try to replicate the situation on the bench with your project file.
We found the root of the problem.
It’s the firing order.
To fix your project, go to the “Engine / Cylinders” section and change the number of cylinders to 8. Now go to the firing order and remove the assignments for the cylinders you do not use. After that, go back to 4 cylinders and the fuel film will work correctly.
We will fix it for the next release, so there will be no need to remove those assignments.
Thank you for the feedback.
It worked, now is working as expected
