We are pleased to announce the public release of EMU PRO software version 225.1. This update includes multiple new features and enhancements compared to the previous official version 216.1.1.
Firmware version 225.1 includes a stability improvement, fixing a rare issue affecting some EMU PRO units.
New features:
Added injector preset system with calibration data for seven direct injectors measured by Ecumaster.
Logging presets can now be exported and imported, making it easier to transfer logging frequencies between projects.
Fixes: • Resolved a rare stability issue that, in specific conditions, could result in an ECU restart.
I actually noticed that about 3 times within 15000km I’ve covered. Very annoying given the DSG won’t let me restart on the fly - engine torque just disappears and I have to move my shifter and stop.
Still have no reliable steps to reproduce so never posted. Just wanted to ask about the RESET CAUSE - mine were logged as WDT afaik. Could you update the description?
Also CWA400 not 500 (only in the post. correct everywhere else)
Maybe i met something similar with unstable USB logging(its just stoped and not start again until engine restart, pc client logged no problem at same time). Maybe this update will help.
But im just here to ask, is it somehow possible to jump between Graph log tabs? When i have several of it, on smaller laptop starts some be hidden on right side and i cannot reach them until rearange layout of whole screen.
And two small things:
The BLACK can stream is transmited only 20hz, on Black ecu is 25hz is i remmember right.
When i connect VW Hitachi MAF sensor , it gives 0.58khz at zero flow, and MAF sensor setup option has minimum limit 1khz, so it throwing error.
USB is sandisk ultra fit, it works on dyno and first race, on second race issue begins, didnt find anything wrong(connection…), stationary revving no issue. Will see in future.
What about my question moving between graph tabs?
And will be anytime soon ability of comparing differences between two projects?
SanDisk is a very good brand.
The two possible causes are vibration and electromagnetic interference.
If the issue occurs again, please record a log using a laptop if possible (yes, from a laptop – we will be able to see everything on one datalog).
You said that after a power-cycle it started to work again, which is a bit strange.
Yes. It’s one of our top priorities for UI. It will be available in the next few months.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Small bug, but very annoying. We’ll try to make it happen in the near future.
Is there any plan to update the help for Emu Pro software, there are a lot of parms described as “This is a variable”, “This is a table“ or “This is a group” etc without any clear explanation on how those can be used and how are they going to affect the calibration.
Before anyone asks if I have any specific issue I will say that I don’t have but when trying to debug something or implement something I often come to the conclusion that the documentation inside the soft is poor.
I even have the feeling that Emu Black V3 software is better documented that the Emu Pro software
Thanks for the feedback — we’re actively working on improving this while balancing ongoing development.
During development, we were heavily focused on adding new features, which unfortunately left parts of the documentation behind. Since last year, we’ve made it a rule that every new feature is delivered with proper documentation.
We’re now working through the backlog of undocumented items. In fact, the upcoming beta already includes descriptions for over 300 parameters.
