Hi, I am hoping to enable predictive lap for the purpose of stage rallying. I have today followed the guide to configure as hill climb. The problem I have is that it would appear I need to cover the ‘stage’ once to create the track, then a second time to create a time in the dash… therefore not showing a delta on the dash until the third pass.
Unfortunately we only tend to cover each stage twice! Hoping someone could shed some light on if there’s another method to set this up
Yes, it works in the way you described.
At the first time, it measures the track distance. It is needed to estimate the distance between the key-points. At the second time, the key-points are placed at the track. At the third time, all the informations are available and you see the expected delta.
Do you know the length of each stage before the rally?
Thanks for confirming.
Yes we are given the stage length before the event.
Hi Alexajs,
We are planning to introduce the ability to define user tracks in the Hill Climb lap timing mode, similar to the functionality available in Circuit mode. This will allow you to define up to five rally stages by specifying the start and finish GPS coordinates, as well as the stage length.
Additionally, we plan to implement the option to predefine the track length before acquiring a button-defined track.
Both of these features will enable predictive lap time calculation on the second run instead of the third.
Please note that, at this moment, we have several tasks with higher priority. Therefore, we cannot promise when this functionality will be introduced, but it will certainly not be included in the next ADU release.
