Problem with initial start on a Very High Comp K24 engine!

We have a weird problem with a k24 engine (13.5cr)

Always been really hard to start and have actually killed 3 starter motors in 4 days.
to get it running we have to bump start.

once running its perfect and we have had hours of mapping which is fine until we stop it and it just coughs and bangs when trying to start.

at first we thought it maybe where voltage drops so low when trying to crank maybe the ecu shuts down. so we have a booster pack on and it still struggles. it does sync on sensors.

anyone else run a high comp k24 frank (with k20 sensors) if so any file you can send to check, we have checked all the normal:

because we keep killing starter motors i have a WOSP High Torque one on order because when we kill one it stops our day.

Base timing is perfect
Plugs are new
Fuel pressure is perfect and stable
mapper has adjusted the fueling on start to try get some life

any ideas?

those can be temperamental with super lightweight flywheel and high compression. wasp starter will help but check your grounds and power supply to starter . also depend who mapped it that also important settings for cranking .

Hi Greg

Once the starter arrives we are also going to run the starter of a separate battery than the ECU so it can eliminate that issue if it is. i will update.
