60-2 VR Trigger wont go over 12K rpm!

I have a bike engine in the shop thats capable of 15000RPM but its hitting a hard trigger error at around 12K I have tried resistors resistors as pullup and pulldown and even combination of both this improved it slightly from previous 10K limit bit it still wont go past 12K Error is a continuous “unexpected missing tooth” (Classic ECU)

oh no… how unfortunate

What point are you trying to make?? do you have something constructive to add?

I could but I like that people learn from their mistakes :)) anyway, if you dont have osciloscope it’s hard to say what the actual issue is :))) but probably 10k resistor inline trigger signal wire would help you :)))

Yes we have since tried that with several different resistors and even combinations of pulldown at the same time. All of the tests gave the same slight improvement, we get to 12k but its a hard stop there no matter what combinations or resistor sizes we tried.

What sensor is being used as a trigger? Tooth spacing on a 60-2 can get pretty small. The ZF sensor I’m using necessitated a 36-1 due to recommended tooth to tooth gap. Perhaps something to look at?

Its all the factory OEM parts on the bike engine (BMW S1000) I cant actually see it because its inside the crank case and reluctor is near the back of the crank

without proper osciloscope readings of what’s happening we are writing on water now :)))
