Adding Cam Position Sensor

I’m currently running without a cam sensor. I’ve added a sensor and now wondering how difficult it would be for the ECU to recognize it. The sensor is connected but the Oscilloscope on the ECU doesn’t see the Cam. It sees the Crank Position Sensor. Any help is appreciated. Tony

Have you set up the secondary trigger parameters?

Thanks for the response. I have looked at the parameters and it’s a bit much for me. I’ve had little experience with software. I had a tuner install this unit. I’m running a 2.0L VW Jetta engine with ADU display. The tuner is hard to get a hold of so I’m on my own for now. My expertise is mechanical, so software is a struggle. Tony

I believe this is the project file containing the program. Let me know if you are able to open it.
The engine is a Jetta 16v 2.0L .

As I see you have not set any requirements for the secondary trigger.

you will have to adjust these settings based on the sensor type and trigger type.

Hi shyam when I enter this parameter, what do I expect next? Is there another step required? Should I see a pulse on the oscilloscope coming from the Cam Position Sensor?
