Could you please share details about SENT sensors? We have ran GEN 1 on B58 Base map and there was selected SENT sensor in high pressure sensor assignment. I connected OEM Rail pressure sensor into GDI Driver in SENT 2 A Channel but got 0 value but when i moved that sensor into PRO analog in than I got exact pressure. AFAIK, SENT is much faster than analog value. How did you configure or what kind of pressure sensor did you use during developing base map? Same problem for Thermostat. BTW, car is working smoothly on idle, didn’t test during driving.

SENT is supported by GDI Driver. EMU PRO does not support it directly, GDI Driver sends the sensor value over the CAN bus. GDI Driver has 4 SENT inputs, you can easily find them on the pinout.

Now GDI Driver has its own configuration in Light Client. You need to enable SENT inputs and set CAN ID. The GDI Driver configuration file is available to download along with the EMU PRO project file.

To receive the values in EMU PRO, configure it in Communication / SENT over CAN bus:

Finally, configuration of the sensor:

Thermostat position is configured in the same way as above. Just choose proper SENT input number and SENT message format. In B58 gen 2 it is Dual sensor 12/12 bit.

You can also refer to chapter 6 of GDI Driver User Manual and chapter 3 of How-to tune the GDI engine in EMU PRO documents.

The rail pressure sensor is connected directly to the GDI Driver, exactly as it was in the configuration. However, in the light client I always get a value of 0. I don’t have a problem with sending data — the issue is with reading it.

The B58 Gen 1 has an analog rail pressure sensor, which is why there is no reading on SENT. It also has a different injectors and high pressure fuel pump.

@WiktorG thanks for reply. I have installed GEN2 High pressure pump. Is it good to use GEN 2 injectors? Do you know part number for SENT sensor?

@GVX111
SENT High pressure sensor part number:
BOSCH 0261547002
BMW 13538631820

You can’t swap the injectors to GEN 2 because their nozzle dimensions are different.
But you can use GEN 2 high pressure fuel pump with GEN 1 injectors.
Keep in mind that GEN 1 injectors have a different calibration than the one found in the basemap.
