I have JZA80 supra, I’m doing a complete new wiring harness (first time doing a wiring harness from scratch) and I was wondering if I can use the EMU to send a signal to my dash warning lights for oil pressure and coolant temp?
Oil pressure yes, since that’s a simple pressure based switch on the OEM harness. You can wire the oil switch sensor wire to any output on the ECU and use a parametric output that’s setup to change state when oil pressure is above say 10 psi.
As for the Coolant temp gauge, the Black and Classic cannot replicate. The sender changes resistance with temperature, and while a PWM output can mimic this to a degree I have found that the frequency limits of the generic PWM outputs is too low to make the gauge operation smooth. If you are able and willing to add an RC filter then it may work.
