Emu pro b58 ignition coils problem

Hello guys im fighting an issue on customer car. Its m60b40 turbo. I have changed oem ignition coils to b58 wired it how it supposed to be to emu pro 8 configured properly but dont have spark when doing output test. With mutlimeter i have measured
Pin 1 - 12 volts
Pin 2 - ground
Pin 3 - trigger
While doing output i measured pin 3 trigger toward pin 2 ground and there were some spikes with voltage like 0.5 v but no 5-12 volts.
I will be grateful for any help. Im clueless whats wrong

Coils are assigned also set to active coils

Dwell is also set.

Hi,

B58 coil with three pins is a passive coil.
Not active.

P.S.
You can’t measure the coil trigger signal with a multimeter. The signal lasts 1-3 ms.
It’s way too short if measuring a single, real-time value.
The LCDs in multimeters don’t even have a refresh rate to display that.

You need an oscilloscope to make a proper measurement.

My other customer have e92 335i n54 on maxxecu race port injection and the guy that did wiring had to install igniter because they also could not fire just by ecu. So im thinking this is the same case. I tried with passive coil setting too nothing.

Also tried to do pull up resistor bewteen trigger and 12 volts. When ecu pulls down the trigger that didnt work either

There is nothing special about those coils.
We have a B58 with 3-pin coils currently running on an engine dyno.

How did you check the spark?
Did you provide a ground to the spark plug when it’s outside the engine?

You can always take the trigger signal from the ECU and manually activate it by touching the trigger wire to ground for the shortest time possible using just your hand.

If you can’t trigger a spark that way, your issue is outside of the ECU.

I have found culprit.. someone else did wiring on that car before me i havent examined everything and there are grounds coming from grounding point near rear seats i have disconected them so both water and fuel pumps wont drain battery. Atleast it was just this silly thing. But thanks for help anyway. Ive managed to start it get it idling etc. More to come.
