Hello,
I’m going to excuse this by that i’m new to tuning, but where do i acutally force V3 in open loop such that i can tune VE without having fuel corrections?

what ecu and are you running a wideband 02 sensor
I must have messed up the post of this thread. Its a emu black with v3.057 software
been busy with proceeding wiht the project, so i havent really adressed this too much. But i think its worth adding som info.
so short term trim has never been turned on. I think is a mismatch of expectation and reality on my part. I was expecting quite responsive numbers when i i.ex. change ve to get the desired lambda, which might not be like that.
but i also think its a bit of setup. I recently found out that the injector deadtimes was not really exact enough I presume (havnt been able to try the car after the change). Which i understand now is bed if are both high and low. Though would be interesting to know what kind of presicion is to be aimed for.
also doing tuning on idle is a bit messy. Theres both pid for air and ignition control. Which cant be turned off without jsut setting pid values to zero. Which i also guess is the best way to get good values.
Also, after trying out other ecus. I guess the best you can do is to try to get the settings right, then you will need to set the maps to whatever the engine needs even though the values might seem a bit out.
any thoughts on this?
