As far as I’m aware I have the standard Ford Duratec knock sensor, but I’m seeing little or no activity in my logs with these settings, this despite hearing what sounds like a little early onset knock as I pass through peak torque.
The ECU is an EMU Black, perhaps I need to increase the sensitivity?
Just leave them off. They are more trouble than they are worth trying to figure out. Plus factory knock sensors have such a small range to which they were calibrated for. The moment you start modifying any engine the harmonics/vibrations are going to be different anyway.
Agreed. In my experience, knock sensors don’t offer much in modified setups unless you spend a crazy amount of time and money on them. Even when you get knock sensors dialed in, you are often too late if it’s knocking.
It’s better to tune conservatively so it never knocks unless something goes really wrong.
