Fuel Cut Timing

I have V3 EMU Black. I am working on Fuel Cut, again.

I get a lot of pops and crackles during decel until fuel cut comes in. Sometimes I get a huge backfire when I down shift under fuel cut and begin to roll the throttle back in.

I have the Overrun ignition angle1 table set to 28 degree during fuel cut, but the log shows zero degree ignition angle during fuel cut. I don’t know why.

Also, regarding the back firing, I have the Exit Fuel Enrichment set to 30%. Is this too much and could it be causing the backfire when rolling back into throttle?

Anything notable about my tune or log?

Tune and log dont seem to match up. During overrun it switches to overrun table 2 which is activated by function 1, maybe you missed that. I dont seem to understand why you would need to switch overrun ign tables when they supposedly seem to have the same timing (as per posted tune). In the log timing goes to 0 degrees once it switches to overrun table 2. Also regarding your pops, i would disable deceleration enleanment completely.

Thanks for the feedback. I originally added the function for overrun in an attempt to delay overrun. I now know that is a bit pointless. I didn’t realize, or know how, to understand this was changing the overrun ignition from table 1 to table 2. However, I was on to something because I had already change the ignition table 2 to match table 1 - I just haven’t tested it yet. I think I need to get rid of the function and just use table 1.

I was thinking that pops on decel were being caused by too much fuel. I’ll try disabling the decel enleanment to see how it reacts.

I have direction/clues now. That’s much better than being clueless. Hahaha…
