How to upgrade - read first!

After a long period of development, the V3 software for EMU Classic is now available.

This is a Beta version, and the following functionality is not yet implemented:

  1. CAN support

  2. Help sections related to EMU Classic

  3. Ability to import projects from EMU Classic

We have made every effort during both development and testing to ensure the software is fully functional at this stage; however, it may still contain bugs.

How to upgrade to V3

  1. Save your existing project to disk using the standard EMU client software

  2. Disconnect the ignition coils (for safety reasons)

  3. Start the V3 Client software version 3.065 or newer

  4. Select an EMU CLASSIC project

  5. Connect to EMU CLASSIC and turn on the ignition

  6. When the upgrade prompt appears, choose “Upgrade firmware” and select the firmware file

  7. Wait until the upgrade is complete

  8. Congratulations – your EMU Classic is now running V3 firmware

How to downgrade to EMU Classic

  1. Install EMU CLASSIC version 1.227

  2. Turn the ignition off

  3. Run the EMU Classic 1.227 client

  4. Turn the ignition on
