MAF to alpha/N insted of Map with DET3

Hi guy’s

I’m new here cause I can’t find an answer anywhere else. So maybe you could give me some answer.

I’ve got an older N/A ITB motor I would like to run without the MAF sensor.

There is an device available called Alpha/N 2000 who does exactly this, but its picetag ist the same than an EMU Classic, so basically not an Option. Going from MAF to MAP is also not an option, cause due to the ITB’s it’s got no stable vacuum I think

So my question is, is it possible to use the DET 3 for this purpose? So doing a MAF to Alpha/N conversion.

In this case it’s a Motronic 2.8 car but it would be pretty useful for other cars that I also own, those are using Motronic 1.3,1.5 and 2.5.

I know that the DET can do this in FI mode, but to be honest I would like to keep the full sequential injection, so for the Motronic 1.5 and 1.4 it will be fine but nut for the 2.5 and onwards…

Thanks in advance

Yes its posible , i have a C2 whit biggers cams and no vacuum work whit the tps for the load .

you work the table of the DET3 whit rpm and TPS , and modify the MAP signal… to analog out…
first you make the MAF to MAP conversion and late you change the load for TPS and make the map again.

remember the det3 its only a voltage modifier , you cheat the original ecu whit the voltage the original ecu need and its work very well , the idle its complicated somedays.
Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks for your reply, I’ve got one det 3 on the shelf so I’ll give it a shoot as you mentioned. I know from former cars I owned that you had to set the rpm points and the TPS very narrow on the lower end and more coarse on wot and high rpm to have a better control over the idle… lets see how it comes out…
