Is there an option to test/overwrite outputs without changing the settings?

Everything (channel/formula) gets lost when i switch an output to default on. It would be already an improvement if my settings stayed so that i can switch it back and fourth.

You can make the formula in a function in the project tree. Then you assign only the function name instead of creating the whole formula in the output window. This will allow for much easier switching of the logic.

But overall, it’s a good suggestion.
We will try to address the issue.

I just used another “or” section in formula and put one of my switches to test the output. Later deleted that line again. Worked basically similar.

Outputs test override would be awesome though.

Ideas: Output stayes active (latching) or switches off after release. (maybe by pressing space)

In my case i connected different lights and wanted to test all of them. So clicking on “O5 - Brakelights” and then spacebar (maybe some safety on top? Spacebar + enter?) => lights turn on. And so on.

One of the problems i had is that i set up the starter output: after clicking “ok” my starter went into action and continued cranking until i went back into the setting and changed the option from “is true” to “is false”. Mistake on my side that gave me half a heart attack. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Idea: make a third “testing” button which activates the new setting as long as pressed. Or just write the outcome with “outcome: active” in the settings window bottom left or somewhere. Then i would know that the output will jump into action after pressing “ok”

I saw that in tha CAN messages somewhere. Maybe user defined switch? It showed the 8bits and if the outcome of the rules was 1 or 0. Can’t remember right now. I can look tomorrow if it’s unclear.
