At first, I took it out of the box and used it as is.
Next, I formatted it and tried using it, but it only flashed red once.
When I get home, I’ll try plugging it into a different adapter and using it again.
The manual explains the two flashes, but what does one flash mean?
I’m still confused. The TPS is still around 8~9%, it’s not “Armed”, and the Idle Effective DC is open to 36+% (35% is closed/min). Why is the idle valve open? What is causing this if it’s not in an armed state?
I am working with Acceleration Enrichment. How does the Acceleration Enrichment versus the async enrichment behave? Do they stack on top of each other (additive)? I’m assuming async is only for low RPM since there is an RPM limit?
Acceleration Enrichment has a decay rate? What is typical and how is this tuned? Async is only for a short blast of a cycle, or two/three?
Thinking that Async is for an immediate squirt and Acceleration Enrichment is additive with the benfit of a tuned decay rate. Is this right?
log attached. Do you have any suggestions for this setup/enrichment tuning?
The DC is DC from the armed state even if you are off the idle and idle armed.
Is this any issue for you ? When you press the throttle and the idle valve close you would feel it as the airflow drops.
It is possible to add option how the DC should behave if you are out of the active and armed state like Keep DC, Set DC to fixed value
Async enrichment is just one shot from all injectors. It helps to build the fuel film for very hard transients (eg. when you press full trhottle on idle).
Normal acc enrichment increases the pulse width of next injections
It is on the list for future updates.
However it is very simple as you use override DC to find the center DC of the cam, and in most situation you only tune the kP (proportional gain).
It’s an issue because I don’t know what causes the DC to open. In armed state, it makes sense to open and have a table to control it. In active state, it’s also controlled. I don’t know how to control the DC when it’s not in armed or active. It just comes on for some reason and I don’t know what makes it come on and how to control it.
In inactive state is also follows the Armed state DC.
The option is also to add another table called Inactive state DC for PWM solenoids and stepper motors.
Got it. The problem I have with it being open in inactive and unarmed is that it can impact the AFR during acceleration, steady state, and deceleration. Having a way to control/close it, if it’s not armed or active, would be ideal. I really don’t want this valve opening unless I want/need it too. As-is, I have no control when not active/armed.
Can we get back 2 coil outputs per cylinder (ignition event) like in V2? Its needed if you run double fire coils with twin ignition per cylinder in wasted spark. Like for old aircooled porsches . @Jadzwin_ECUMASTER
@Jadzwin_ECUMASTER so to cover all the basis i stripped the pnp adaptor and backtrace all the wires , pin out from the oem plug through pnp adaptor to the emu black.
Switch1 ,switch3 was swapped. Clutch swich and clutch ac ramp up is also working now. I retro fitted the cruise control also to analog 3 and analog5 . To spare some inputs i will get resistors to enable mux switch to use only one input.
