I need some help regarding idle control. Is there someone who can assist me?
I’ve tried following the idle setup guide here on the forum, but I haven’t had any success getting the idle to work properly. After startup, I have to manually hold the engine at around 1200 rpm to keep it running. If I release the throttle, it runs poorly at about 600 rpm for a few seconds before stalling.
When the engine warms up, it will run on its own, but not at the target idle rpm. The engine does not respond to any changes in airflow settings or rpm target settings.
I feel like I must be missing something crucial.
Could you take a look at my settings and logs and see what I might be doing wrong?
You need to check that the tps position is below the threshold that you have set. However there is something else which I also struggled with which needs to be enabled or disabled to make the idle control work. If I remember I will update the post but there is something which stops it from working.
I have adjusted the pps threshold so i get the IDL light indicating that the idle is on but there is no differanse. Please get back to me if you remember. Thanks
I have now tried to change this PID settings but there is no difference. The engine will not run by it self before it get warm and it is no changes or response when changing airflow map or target rpm map.
I have added a log file an prodject file after the PID change.
Your total timing allowed for idle is 15 degrees and its only moving 3 degrees. For airflow the pid moved your base blade a little bit but its not enough.
Can you take a log with the following selected. Do one for Idle ignition and one for idle airflow. That way we can see if the pids do come active and its just a clamp or strength issue.
