Peak and hold setting

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a Toyota Aurora Indy Racing V8 engine that uses eight GM Delco single-point (TBI/Mono-Jetronic style) injectors from an Opel Astra 1.6 NZ.
The engine previously ran on a Haltech Platinum 2000 ECU, which drove these injectors without any issues. I’m now switching to an ECUMaster EMU PRO-8, which requires manual configuration of the injector peak current and hold current.
Unfortunately, I don’t know the correct peak-and-hold values for these injectors. Does anyone have experience with them or know the recommended peak current and hold current settings?
Is it possible to estimate these values from the injector coil resistance, or is the resistance alone not enough to determine the correct settings?
Any help, technical data, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

So the correct way to get this info is to use an O-scope and fire the injector to find the correct point of saturation and note the current levels. Also fuel pressure affects this as it acts against the injector. The default values may not work for application and may need increased.

But we’ve always went by the ohm reading of the injectors. An injector that reads lower like 1.3 ohms would need way more current vs a 7 ohm injector. The duratec injectors are 4A/1A I beleive. This should get you close

Peak 2A and Hold 0.5A - 7ohms to 3ohms
Peak 4A and Hold 1A - Below 3ohms to 1.5ohms
Peak 8A and Hold 2A - Below 1.5ohms
