Problem with vanos control in v3 does

trying to high side drive the vanos on a s50b32 bmw through the hbridge outputs or lowside drive the vanos through the aux outputs does not seem to work.

if i flash back to v2 i can lowside drive them through the aux outputs.

has anyone had this problem with v3.

I’m currently having trouble with a single VANOS unit on an S50B30 with Black V3. I’ve connected the actuators to H-Bridge 1a and 1b, and I’m getting no change in VANOS.

Could you post your settings ? I can test them on the simulator to see what is going on.

Vanos working fine on V3 here … S50B30 single vanos driven by aux outputs :+1:

I test the vanos control and everything works perfect.

There are three options:

  1. Configuration issue (trigger, vvti config)

  2. Broken solenoid / camshaft variator

  3. Wiring issue

I have switched from H-Bridge to Aux 1 & 2 , and it’s fine now !

There should be als nonproblem with the hbridges. But remeber hbridges cotbrol vanos using high side, aux using low side
