Would it be possible to add more CAN messages for the various sensors available for use, such as Gearbox oil temperature, Coolant Pressure, CAN AIN, etc?
Given the CAN system has been optimised and there is so much headroom now, I feel like it would give a lot of additional functionality for all those who are using digital displays for real time monitoring.
I understand that it’s possible to add them in via user defined messages, however, most dash manufacturers don’t have the ability to create custom Rx messages, and allowing for native support would encourage these companies to implement this further. I feel like it’s a missed opportunity given how in-depth the CAN protocols of companies like Haltech are.
