Setup/Tuning for Active Exhaust

I am planning an active exhaust install with EMU Black. The valves work on vacuum, e.g. the valves open when the vacuum drops a certain amount (WOT). However, I want to control the opening and closing based on RPM and not vacuum so I am looking for a way to send an output based upon the RPM of the engine. How would I configure this?

Also, does anyone have any links/reading for tuning with active exhaust for EMU? I have found a ton of snippets for this, but nothing for EMU?

Use a Parametric output? RPM as variable, gives you a few further options too.

Got it. Generally, should this be setup on a MAP signal to control open/close or RPM to control open/close or what are some other options?

World is your oyster in my opinion. Normally I like to have valves on a switch, but if overriding that I would probably use RPM vs TPS. N

I’m planning on doing this with my Varex muffler. I already have it setup on a forward/reverse module controlled by a switch, but I’ll convert it to have the CanBoard control it.

Did you ever get this working? I want to install something and be able to open the valve in steps, meaning as the boost climbs, it opens more, instead of just on and off. Almost like PWM, but I’ve never seen a PWM motor for these types of valves, just a 12V open close or an actuator. Looking at something like the dodge cars, they have a LIN activated controller that modulates the vales with throttle response.

If I can do this I will just have to put vlaves inline instead of having to chagne to valvetronic or varex mufflers, which I do not really want to do since I already have 4 brand new vibrant mufflers on the car.
