Please, would someone create CAN messages for controlling the power steering of the Skoda Fabia 3 6C1 909 144 D and similar, like the ADU file was created for the VOLVO steering?
Hi,
There are two issues with your request:
-
Fabia 3 is on the PQ25 platform. We don’t have the implementation of that platform. We have PQ35 and MQB.
-
There are no frames that directly control power steering in the MQB or PQ35 platform as far as we know.
Please provide more details about your situation and explain why you need something like that.
Our team started using this complete power steering in our race cars, this steering works without can-bus communication, but it is very easy to turn. We would need to reduce its power assistance at higher car speeds
Just the steering system, or are there other OEM modules that worked with that steering?
The power steering is likely monitoring the vehicle speed from the ABS unit and the steering angle.
What Ecumaster devices do you have in that car?
We use the EMU Black unit in our cars, we would need the steering force either according to the car speed or manually with a rotator, thank you for your effort to solve this with us
I think that solving the power control of this power steering has attracted more people interested in Ecumaster products.
You could try enabling the DSG support, and with that, you can enable the ABS emulation.
EMU will send ABS frames with the vehicle speed, similar to how the ABS module operates.
But there is also a question of CAN coding.
Some VAG modules won’t work without the correct CAN stream coding.
This coding would have to be checked in the stock vehicle from which the module came.
It’s a complicated topic, and we don’t have a test platform.
So we are unable to check and test anything.
Hi,
I found out that the Fabia 3 facelift 2020+ is on the MQB platform.
So I would like to use the steering from this version.
The BCM unit number is 2Q0 937 089 C / MQB27 /
with the steering rack unit 6C1 909 144 AK
Is it possible to use these parts and connect to the ECU MASTER?
