It would very useful to add a reset function to default state of Latching switch, for example keeping it pressed for 3000ms.
Synchronization time is brilliant in V3, not any shame in front of customer:-)
Autocalibration of DBW came across few times of forcing too much to closing direction resulting in stuck position(thus informing about it). With finger help gone back and finished the process.
For the BMW owners (and other that want PWM fuel pump driver) it would be nice if you could add CAN stream support for the EKPM2/3 PWM driver (like in the Maxxecu). I have it working with user defined CAN stream, but would be nice if it was available in the drop down menu.
If crankshaft&cam sensors were moved to Sensors and inputs in V3, it would logical to move there a Knock sensor configuration:-) But in my opinion; Knock, Crank & Cam sensors parameters were in perfect location in V2, without splitting into type of sensor and trigger configuration:-)
Afterstart idle control with V2 was much easier, it’s a bit of struggle with V3 not having an idle bump down just a second after bump up during cold vs hot start. Tables seems to be similar, besides Parameters(which are split now in different groups).
What do you exactly mean ?
If you use them as separate outputs all strategies has invert output option.
If you use it as DBW you can invert motor direction.
12 functions is 50% more than in V2 (8 functions). Also in V3 functions are more capable.
The 12 functions is a kind of compromise because of the memory limitations.
At this moment add more functions is possible but quite demanding.
You can try to combine some functions into one as you can use many operators inside one function.

I have 2 DC operated vacuum valves to change the operation of resonance chamber and lenght of intake runners.
These are controlled by load/RPM/TPS (built functiins for that, earlier parametric outputs).
Valve has +12V from a fuse when IGN on, by default HB1A and HB2A seems to be connected to GND. How to invert that?
How I can use 1A/1B/2A/2B as separate (independent outputs)? I thought A and B is always opposite…
Forgive my ignorance, but where I can check/set default state of these H-Bridge outputs?
If I understand correctly the action sets the output to “the other” state (i.e. from GND to +12V).
Is there a way to “pin” certain H-Bridge output to a certain “default” state (i.e. floating / GND / +12V) and that “pinned” state would be then the initial state for the function change… ?
If you assign hbridge output to the function its state will be always equal to function states.
Functions are evaluated continuously where fn1 is evaluated first, fn2 next and so on (it can be sometimes important when you use function in function).
So if you want 2nd output to be always inverse of 1st output, just assign function 1 to HBRADGE1 A, and in Fn 2 invert its state.
For example:
Thank you. I got the point, but this requires to use 2 Functions and 2 Outputs (maybe a “virtual” one) for sake of function calculations? Do we have such virtual ones available anyway?.
Having a negation of the output in the same (first and only) function (simple NOT for the output to “mark” in a 5x5mm square field or so by aka “invert”) would save one Fn and one Output.
Sure I can build the function “the other way round” so it will be active when those criteria would be not met, but it would be so much more user friendly just to invert that with a simple click of a mouse and selecting “invert result”
That’s correct, Fn without output is my “virtual” output, but eats one of the Fns that are available in total. Smn already hit the limit of the Fn number IIRC.
