Here are some UK circuits that are not included in 104.x firmware - they should be spot on!
Increase radius as you need to get proprity over software embeded ones.
Lot easier and quicker is to use button defined tracks.. in uk with different layouts.
I have a function with two buttons and an overlay to do button defined tracks as per page 177. My approach was to have the tracks pre-defined before the event rather than having to consider doing track acquisition during qualification sessions.
So this wont work because will be overwritten by hardcoded track definition. You have to increase radius for example 10km Just to clarify Adu have predefined tracks embedded and auto recognition the track and that works perfectly fine if Track has single layout and only one start finish line ( for example Silverstone has two) so in many UK tracks that’s not the case.
If you at the track adu will recognise location and load correct coordinated and track distance. so to get proper track lap distance you can do custom track and insert lot bigger radius this way your custom track will have priority over embedded or use button define track which is easy as normally you have couple free practise sessions and is possible to do it this button define track has priority over custom or auto-recognised tracks.
The tracks I have defined are not hardcoded in the ADU - a good example of this is UK Donington Park GP circuit.
If I was at that circuit and used my button ‘track acquire’ combination, the ADU would recognise it using GPS co-ordinates grabbed at button press (plus one lap crossing the line) and then store it in the logs (that I write to USB)?
I assume you would then save it as a reference track using the ADU client?
FYI not all club racing allows practice, for example I only get qualification and race.
Finally, I assume that button acquired track data would be correct if I was warming up on outlaps during quali (IE not at race pace) as getting exact co-ords of the start/stop line would not be possible
